EPOXY INJECTION
Epoxy injection is a technique used to repair cracks in concrete and can be used on columns, walls, and slabs and is capable of restoring the concrete to its pre-cracked strength.
For epoxy injection, the crack is first sealed with epoxy and holes are drilled along either side of the crack at an angle to intersect the crack. A very low viscosity epoxy is then pumped (under pressure) into the crack seeping its way into all parts of the crack and micro-cracks, essentially gluing the concrete back together.
URETHANE INJECTION
The urethane injection is usually used on a vertical surface or soffit where water is penetrating. Holes are drilled along either side of the crack at an angle to intersect the crack. Urethane is then pumped into the crack and reacts with water, causing it to expand 10-40 times its volume and hardens to seal off the crack.
